Am I in danger of ruining my laptop by using this PC cleaner?
I use a wonderful program called CCleaner for file cleanup but have been warned not to use it b/c it also cleans registers. I have the XP operating system. Shall I discontinue its use? I do not want to use two separate programs: one for file clean up and one for registry clean up.
Please give me your best suggestion for an effective way to clean my PC, and any personal cases where you’ve encountered problems using CCleaner.

Been using Ccleaner on many computers for over 5yrs, it has caused no damage. I don’t know who told you this, but I think they might be confused…
it’s agreat cleaner but BE VERY CAREFUL what you delete
yes you might the delete the most important file on cpu
It cleans entries in the registry that point to programs that are no longer on your computer (orphan entries). (You deleted the files, or the uninstallation didn’t complete.) Those entries shouldn’t be there.
