Desperately need Samsung SN-124 CD ROm Driver??
Anyone know where I can download the samsung sn-124 cd rom driver for free? I accidently deleted important system files using a freeware registry cleaner and now my cd rom driver is missing and it won’t let me do a system restore. I have tried uninstalling the driver and restarting and windows XP Home can’t find the driver. Here is the error code under device manager: "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"
That worked perfect, thanks!

Actually, sir, it’s not the driver for your CD-ROM drive that’s been removed. What’s happened is that your system registry has been changed.
If you follow the instructions on the following page, your CD-ROM drive will magically reappear.
Even though it says it’s for Windows Vista, it works perfectly well with Windows XP. I can guarantee that. I had the same problem.
Try this. Althou it says its for Vista its actually an old fix that was first used for XP, as it explains in the link.

Make sure you do it exactly as shown as doing it wrong can give you more grief than you have now.
