If you download the installer for AVG anti virus, you can put the installer (not the final program) onto a CD-R, or a USB key, and copy that to the hard drive of the other machine. Then you run the installer just like you would if you downloaded it.
Dragging to the CD is not going to work. You will have to burn to a CD-R.
I have done this many times. You need to use the copy you downloaded from the Internet. Once you drag it to the CD you then need to BURN the CD. It is separate from the drag.
