How do I clean up my computer after a long day of searching the web at work?
My boss is very nosey and likes to look at my computer when i leave work for the day, it would be great to know how to erase my tracks. I know how to right click on internet icon and delete cookies and history that way, but there must be something else to delete becuase he still finds things.

Go to tools and internet options.
Delete all cookies, history, and your cache.
Then you might want to go to Content and go to autocomplete and clear that too.
Stop looking at things online at work that you could get in trouble for.

u prbly cant, and if your boss has money he can buy what youve been going on, i think! i think that they might be able to buy it now, but im not sure. maybe you should get a lap top
Go to tools then options… then hit the delete cookies button and the delete history button. Also you can go to your windows system tools menu and delete temporary internet files. That should just about cover it.

free up space on your hard drive by going clicking on start, control panel,performance and maintenance and click on free up space on hard drive if will delete all unnecessary files and internet files. but that’s if you have windows xp.
you need a software it is called Mechanice Registery.
This softwares wipes off all your footsteps .
Without having such a software you can not do anything but what you have already done. Clearing cookies and history
I heard there is some kind of softwares to help erase your tracks… search around. Good luck.
Next to delete cookies – click on Delete Files
Then click on the Content tab
Then AutoComplete
Click Clear forms
This will clear the searches you probably typed in search engines etc
Its possible your boss has keylogging software or similar installed to track what your doing
make a restart point or install Deep freeze

yep, besides cookie and history, make sure to clean temp. internet files, its at the same place where u delete cookies. Also deleting local temp files would help. in my computer, right click on local drive, select properties ane do dick cleanup …
For example: go to top of internet explorer click on tools, then in the drop down menu click on internet options click clear history, then ok. Also, click Start, All programs, accessories, then system tools, then disk clean up, it may take a few minutes after that click ok, ok? Good Luck!
your boss isn’t nosey, you are a thief. you steal time which means payment for work you aren’t doing. i bet you work for the county so my tax dollars are paying for you to surf the net. you are at work right now aren’t you.
there may be monitoring your computer use. if not, he can probably see it on the network side, like a network monitoring software. if you use their network and computers, it is just how crafty and tech savvy he is. Registry Cleaning is a good idea…look for MRUs too. any most recently used files that were opened, like videos and music players will keep histories of what had been opened…use a linux live cd…it will bypass the entire OS on boot. – unless you need certain software to actually do work
Ask a computer guy or a computer hotline or stop doin that stuff that gets you in trouble i mean we are always going to have to work with someone dont like thats life but is that worth losing your job for?
