In reference to the statement made by Rabbit; "You shouldn’t need a seperate antivirus, antispy, and antimalware" …
… well despite the fact that you can haul trash in your private vehicle and you can also go grocery shopping in a garbage truck, that doesn’t mean that either of them are unnecessary.
You certainly DO need separate antivirus, antispy and antimalware.
SO in cleaning up your system, your best first antispy is (IMO) Superantispyware. Download, update and run Superantispyware before you do anything else.
http://www.superantispyware.com/
THEN get *yourself* an antivirus. Those online scans are sometimes good, sometimes not… you didn’t say which one you used, so it could very well be a rogue program itself. In any case, an online scanner does absolutely NOTHING to protect your computer. So you need to install a good antivirus that gives *real-time* protection. I suggest Avast.
Download and update Avast and let it run a deep scan, and have it quarantine everything it finds.
Avast 4 Home Edition: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html
After running Super and having a *good* antivirus installed and run, you should have a good idea how you really stand.
Good Luck.
Antivirus: BitDefender Online scanner – will scan and remove threats.
Anti adware/spyware: Ewido Online Scanner – will scan and remove threats.

Your antivirus software, in most cases, won’t remove spyware. If you’re only using antivirus, you should fill out your security suite with a good firewall and good antispyware.
You should only install security software from trusted sources. Here are some recommendations from available freeware:
firewall:
Comodo (http://www.comodo.com), or
PC Tools (http://www.pctools.com/firewall)
Comodo recently released version 3.0 of its firewall, which adds an intrusion prevention component that’s very effectively, though it does take time for it to learn your system, and requires some ongoing attention by the user to make sure programs don’t get improperly block. Comodo is one of the strongest firewalls available, freeware or commercial, according to the independent testing site matousec.com.
antivirus: (listed in order of preference)
Avira (http://www.free-av.com)
AVAST! Home (http://www.avast.com)
AVG (http://free.grisoft.com)
all provide realtime protection and automatic updates; all have ICSA and VB100 certification, but Avira has been among the highest rated in tests by several respected US and UK computer publications.
antispyware:
Spyware Terminator (http://www.SpywareTerminator.com) or
Spyware Doctor (http://pack.google.com)
either one will give you good, realtime protection, along with
Ad-Aware Free (http://www.lavasoftusa.com) and
Spybot S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org) for additional removal ability.
Here’s the best free solution. a-squared Free. Run a scan with it and let it remove everything it finds:

Or you can do this:
http://eset.com/smartsecurity
Use that free trial to get clean. You can uninstall it afterwards, it won’t cost you anything. But you should buy it so you stay clean from now on. A lot of people will give you links to free programs, like AVG and Spybot, and some of them may work, but there is no really GOOD free anti-malware program. Anything is better than nothing, but if you want to be protected, don’t be cheap.
Or switch to Linux so you don’t have to ever worry about malware.
use registry cleaners they have for free online. Also VERY IMPORTENT!! difragment ur hard drives
accessories > system tools > defragment both hdds this will rearrange the files u have so the pc will find them much faster, it’ll boost the speed
Get rid of the adware/malware. Ad-Aware is a good program – the personal edition is free. I also use C Cleaner – it gets rid of the junk. It’s also free. Also, I spent 20 bucks on Max Registry Cleaner. The first scan produced over 500 registry errors! Between these three programs, I don’t have problems with the puter freezing and sputtering anymore.
To remove spyware/adware,there are many solutions exist, all of them with their own strengths and weaknesses.
