Which registry cleaner are you using ? I would uninstall that app and use CCleaner instead http://www.ccleaner.com/ >>>To stop WinXP from rebooting from the BSOD, go start, control panel, system, select the advanced tab, Look for the section Startup and Recovery, click on Settings, on the System Failure section Remove the checkmark from Automatically Restart, click OK and the next time you will be able to read the error message.
These sound like poor programs. Uninstall them. The site below contains the best reqistry cleaners.
