For example things that loadup into your startup memmory Go to start --> run --> (type) msconfig Now go to startup Look at all the items, Uncheck the programs with the exception of Rundll32, and your virus scanner. That will give you a signicant boost. Remember when you uncheck them they will no longer run on startup and won't be in your system tray. To use them you have to start them manually. The reason it improves your speed is the simple fact they run in the background and use up your system memmory. Don't touch any other tabs. Now if you use firefox, after some time it uses up alot of memmory also which you have to reset. Get the latest version of firefox 3 beta 2.
