I honestly do not trust pc tune up programs. They normally come with adware and spyware, which you agree to usually in the user agreement. They normally just do a disk cleanup anyways. Go to Start > Programs > accessories > System tools. Then run disk cleanup, then I would suggest running a disk defrag, which will be in System tools as well. Another thing you can do is run a check for adware/spyware. I suggest going to http://www.download.com and searching for "Adaware" and download the anniversary edition, and downloading malwarebytes from that site as well to check for viruses. Good luck!
