I have a dell inspiron 1520 laptop its about 2 yrs old now when it boots up i get an error sayin windows failed to start due to a recent hardware or software problem and i get the option of lauch startup repair or start windows normally when I start it normally the screen blinks blue then it goes black and reboots

Yeah, that started happening to my Dell laptop a few months ago. Then it became more and more recent. I would have to do some combination of going into safe mode, then restarting, then trying to go back into regular mode, and back into safe mode if that didn’t work. And repeat for however long it took. It would eventually let me on, but it took some twenty minutes of work. I don’t really know how to fix it. You can try restoring your laptop with a restore disk. I haven’t tried yet because I got a new laptop.
Maybe you should bring it to a computer repairs person and they can have a look at it and suggest what you should do.
