   This has been caused by a Windows update (KB951748) released on July 7, 2008, that conflicts with ZoneAlarm products. There are several ways to fix the problem

   1.You could uninstall ZoneAlarm and activate Windows Firewall instead. I don’t recommend this.
   2.You could lower the ZoneAlarm security rating for the Internet Zone to Medium. This isn’t great either.
   3.You could uninstall or not install the Windows update in question. About as good as #2.
   4.You could download and install the fix from ZoneAlarm appropriate to your machine. This is the one I recommend. Here’s a list of the respective fixes, followed by the steps to install them.

   ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite: http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/free/1043_zl/zaSuiteSetup_70_483_000_en.exe
   ZoneAlarm Pro: http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/free/1043_zl/zapSetup_70_483_000_en.exe

   Now to install the above:

   1.Click the Start->Control Panel menu item.
   2.Click Add or Remove Programs.
   3.Check the Show Updates checkbox.
   4.When the list box fills, scroll down and fine the KB951748 fix.
   5.Click the Remove button and remove it.
   6.Close the window.
   7.Download and install the ZoneAlarm update(s) appropriate for your machine.
   8.Go to the Microsoft Update site and reinstall KB951748. (Note: Use Internet Explorer for this.) http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us
