I use Ad-Aware myself, from Lavasoft. It cleans up just about anything thats spyware.
I use Abexo Registry Cleaner, it’s free and a small program, I’m not all to sure what it does but it seems to make my computer a whole lot faster after I run it. (From what I understand it just deletes old or unused things from the registry to make your PC run faster)
I guess u need one? I paid $30.00 (us) for one from McAfee last week. It said it did the job but I cant tell any performance difference
Most registry cleaners are snake oil, so you are being wise.
As a System Admin , the only one I would recommend that is free is Crap Cleaner. You can run the registry cleaner under the "issues" tab.
