Check to make sure your processor is being clocked correctly. I have seen where a computer with a weak battery lost the settings and clocked the processor at the slowest speed possible.

Do a defrag after installing all of that.
Use Ccleaner regularly.
I agree with the guy who says the Defrag thing.
Makes it so much better.
Start > search > type "msconfig" > "start up" tab then just disable all the programs that you don’t want to start up, make sure you research the program/s before disabling them.
