I’ve been able to resolve most of the problems, but a couple things are still giving me trouble. For example, when I click links on a Google search page, I get redirected to some bullshit advertising webpages. Also, I am unable to connect to liveupdate for Norton antivirus, though I’m unsure if this is related to the spyware infection. Below is an Hijack-This log of my computer. Any suggestions?

Anti-virus software?

I don’t have an Anti-virus software installed in my computer. That’s because I’ve upgraded to Common Sense 2009. Why buy pricey anti-virus softwares when you can use your brain! That’s right, If you actually put your mind into removing any virus from your computer you’ll realize it wasn’t that hard. All you’d need to successfully run Common Sense in your computer are:

1. Google
2. A brain
3. Internet access.

Why settle for crappy software that tend to scare the shit out of you and annoy you when you can easily notice when you’re computer is slowing up and acting strangely run diagnostics on it and presto. You’ve successfully used Common Sense 2009.

Which anti-virus software do you guys use?

I am looking for a good registry cleaner for my x40 laptop, running XP Pro. I have done some research on google, Registry Mechanic and CleanMyPC Registry Cleaner seem among the best,

CleanMyPC Registry Cleaner http://www.registry-cleaner.net/

Registry Mechanic http://www.pctools.com/registry-mechanic/

Is there anyone who is using these cleaners can share your experience? Which one is better? Or any other recommendations?

Hi… i am having problem with malware… whenever i open a website, the browser will automatically redirect to another website (x.cruze3.cn) then the internet security will prompt and say the website is malicius and it will stop connecting to the server. Basically i cannot connect and surf the net using my laptop. It happens to both IE and Google Chrome. I tried to reset the IE setting, clean up all file, run anti virus, clean and fix the registry, do the hijackthis. But any of this cannot make things right, Anti-virus and anti-spyware can’t even dectect it. But the problem still exist. I have no idea what else can i do.
