Does GIMP have malware?

When trying to download GIMP, my current Spyware blocker alerted me that GIMP has malware, Registry Cleaner 2008. Is that something to worry about?

I scan with both AVG & Malware and they both say they have cleaned, healed and moved to virus vault this infection but it keeps coming back. It has disabled my MIscrosoft security center for any updates and its seems to be in the registry. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPREICATED–GOING BONKERS!!!!!

My broadband speed is 2Mbps but my download speed rarely goes above 4 KBps(yes it’s "KBps"-kilobytes per second
not kbps) on downloading simple softwares from net. Can u help in some pc tweaks or a software which will speed up my broadband???
It took me more than half hour to download Google toolbar. This Yahoo! answers page itself took more than 13 mins to open in mozilla firefox with fasterfox extension. I have done defragmentation with Auslogics disk defrag, i have cleaned my registry and junk file also but nothin helps. my computer completely free of Viruses and spyware as I’ve scanned with NOD 32 Antivirus & SuperAntispyware and also Spyware doctor & cleaned all malware but still no change.

I don’t know how it happened; one day I got home from work and signed in to a bunch of pages of advertisement being displayed. I tried using Avast, Search and Destroy and 1 Click Maintenance to no avail. Search and Destroy actually deleted something important to the registry and my icons and start button and bar wouldn’t display anymore. I had to load it up in safemode and undo everything it cleaned up, which fixed that problem but the malware still remains.

One thing I did notice is that normally my windows updates are automatic and now it is turned off and I can’t turn it back on again. Another thing is that these are all trial versions of the anti-virus and malware detection/elimination software. I’m at a loss though, usually I can get this cleaned up in a jiffy but this one seems to be serious. System Restore doesn’t have a mark to where I can restore it to an earlier time either.

Any ideas?
I would just wipe it clean but of course I can’t find my XP disk at all.

i have a windows xp and since about a month ago my internet connection has been getting slower and slower. i have already checked for viruses, spyware, and malware with ca antivirus, and i have cleaned/fixed the registry. the problem started after installing live one care, the computer didn’t have the requirements so i uninstalled it. i have checked the connection with another and the internet actually works fine on that one so i know for a fact it has to be the computer.PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!
