I have been thinking of giving my computer a home health check and have been advised to use a registry cleaner. I have seen that RegZooka has good reviews. But are registry cleaners a waste of money and if not what do you reckon is the best.

my PC is old and runs really slow…my friend told me to download and run a registry cleaner/scanner….but i have no idea about these registry cleaners…

How necessary are registry cleaners? Everyone preaches how they will greatly enhance the performance of you computer and how magical and wonderful they are in general. However, I heard that by removing entries, they actually cause the registry to become fragmented, which will slow the computer down more than by leaving the dead entries in the registry?

I’ve found registry cleaners that are free until they scan your system, then they want to charge you before they get the job done… Right now I don’t have my plastic money with me, and I need to do a registry cleaning as of yesterday. Please help!

Most of the registry cleaners scan for free but to optimise and speed up the computer they demand money for removing the corrupt files and cleaning the disc. Moreover the vendor should be genuine and having valid digital signature.
