Hi i have a problem with my computer and freezes when i start up my computer when it tells me for the safe mode and nornal window thing but when i press enter it freezes or when i leave it for the count down it freezes in zero.
Or when i try to clean the window install a fresh window xp it freezes when it says " setup is starting window" i waited for at least 30 min and nothing happened please help me.

i was doing a software upgrade for windows vista (service package) and no i have a blue error screen that keeps coming up, the computer wont open in in safe mode and the recovery disc’s are not working, whats another option other then sending it to get repaired?

Windows failed to start?

So I tried to install a game demo, which finished then asked me if i wanted to restart the computer, so I did. When it starts up it says:

Windos failed to start. A recent hardware or software change may be the cause. To fix the problem:

1. Insert your Windows Installation disc and restart the computer
2. choose your language settings, then click Next
3. Click "repair your computer"

File: \Windows\System32\drivers\sfsync.02.sys

Status: 0xc0000428

Info: Windows cannot verify the difital signature for this file.

If I put in my Vista disc then it comes up with another screen asking If I want to run in Safe mode, run normally etc.

My keyboard won’t work on this screen so I can’t select anything!! What do I do? I really don’t want to have all my stuff wiped so please help…
I would try to do that but my keyboard won’t respond when the screen comes up, so I can’t select anything.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this.

If your computer stopped responding, restarted unexpectedly, or was automatically shut down to protect your files and folders, choose Last Known Good Configuration to revert to the most recent settings that worked.

If a previous startup attempt was interrupted due to a power failure or because the Power or Reset button was pressed, or if you aren’t sure what caused the problem, choose Start Windows Normally.

Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt
Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked)
Start Windows Normally

^^^ that is what i get when try to start my computer. no matter which option i try they all send me back to that same screen. I don’t have my windows xp cd to repair it or do whatever the cd is needed to do. anything i can do to fix it without the cd?

Apparently, I have a registry bug leftover from a virus after getting rid of it with an antivirus program. It restricts the computer from working in normal mode, nothing will react when I click on them, so I’ve been forced to work in Safe Mode. I’ve been told it’s unfixable because the registry bug’s code is constantly changing. I want to give one more try, just wanna see if there’s one ultimate program that can help me out. Thanks.
