   Sure you can.

   All of these are ones that I personally use and all are free.After you install any of them,make sure you update them to get the full affect.

   PC tools also has a free firewall.

   yes go to download.com and search for antivirus there are some decent free trials but for a free antivirus go search for avg antivirus it has no limitations . that i know of

   You can download one for free from download.com, but dont get more than one. It will mess up your computer.

   Yes you can get your computer protection from the internet. I recommend you get a Firewall, 1 antivirus, and 3 antispyware programs. All of the below programs are free and will provide excellent protection.

   Firewall: Comodo.

   While downloading Spybot S&D watch for a window that will have the Tea Timer listed. Check the box and this will allow Spybot to provide ‘full time’ protection. If you choose not to check it, it will only work when you call on it to scan.
