Some install other programs, too. :( They know how popular free trial games are so they want to trick people. A good site to get games is GameSocks.com or BigFishGames.com - however Big Fish is getting a little shady recently with their game installer. However I still trust them. If I get games from Game Socks I can uninstall them like normal programs and they're 100% gone. My computer never slowed down from them. If for some reason they aren't you can go to the Program Files folder and erase their folder. Only download from sites that aren’t shady.
