Ccleaner is the best program you can use. Just make sure you use defraggler after.

firstly do you mean defrag or to clean it? to defrag and both these programs are free which is a word i like lol defraggler which is very thorough and good and to clean i use freeregistrycleaner which is excellent.you may also want to download ccleaner which is also excellent gl
Download Ccleaner and install it. Open the program and heal your registries. Simplest and best way to get rid from corrupted registry files.
There are several free versions of registry cleaners are available. CCleaner is a popular one. Here is the link :

OK, you know you can open the registry by using the Registry editor by going to Run and then typing regedit. For me, the easiest place where you can find and delete invalid registry entries would be the following locations….
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE
You know the programs you have installed and uninstalled right??? From those locations you can see entries of the programs installed in your computer but it also shows entries of programs you have already UNINSTALLED from your PC so technically those are the invalid ones. Right click the invalid ones and Delete.
Here is an example scenario…
"I have UNINSTALLED a program called AVG Antivirus. Then when I look at the registry, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE I can still see an entry named AVG even if AVG Antivirus is completely gone. So that key must be invalid and safe to delete."
Be wise to look at both of those registry locations I gave you. However burrowing deeper poses more threats or error.
However I know a software called CCleaner. It can clean up your disk and repair some of your invalid registry issues and after a long history of usage it has given me NO problems. It is free and is perhaps the most widely used utility software around the world. I suggest you download and install it from this link. Get its latest version.

Why are you trying to clean your registry? Are you having performance issues? If your computer is constantly running slowly, a registry clean will do nothing to help this.
You’d be better off using msconfig to disable applications at startup. Take a look at the following link for many ways to speed up your computer, WITHOUT damaging your registry. (and please please PLEASE don’t use regedit if you don’t know your way around the registry…)
