I don’t know if it will help, but it might. At the beginning when you start your computer it says somewhere "Press F2" or some other button to open BIOS. Go there and go to the Save tab. There should be an alternative "Save using default settings" or something like that.
Not sure if it will work, but it’s worth a go
You could repair the problem with a Vista installation disc or a Vista recovery disc. The recovery data can be downloaded on the internet.
Since you don’t have everything needed to repair your problem i guess you’re outta luck.
You will need to take it to a professional for repair.
Have them install a burner while it’s there.
I don’t know if u can run it from a Stick drive but to boot it u would need to go into your BIOS and change the boot order so USB boots up first. If that doesn’t work and u can’t get vista anywhere, 99% of the time there is a Factory image installed on the PC that will restore the computer to factory settings. But that should be last resort since it deletes everything.
Go buy a USB optical drive from BestBuy or some other large retailer. Use it to create the recovery discs you need and then return it. Or you could just keep it since you’ll need one anyway and yours doesn’t work.
You’ll need four DVDs to do this and you only get one shot. I don’t recommend trusting it to anything but Sony discs.
