That’s a pop-up ad. Don’t fall for it.
do a system restore to a date befor you got the error message and it will go

lol that my friend is what i like to call a genious pop-up add. Its purpose is to get you to think that your computer is about to ‘die’ even though there is probably nothing wrong with it. I’ve seen this a million times. I bet you only see that pop up when you are moving through websites. You may also have some kind of cookie or adware on your computer that causes this to pop up. But as far as your computer ‘needing’ to download registry cleaner…forget it. But you may want to drop a couple dollars down to get your own. OR..use some kind of adware destroyer type program.
If you need a registry cleaner I recommend CCleaner. It is free. It also makes a back-up of your registry info.

If your PC used to be faster, or is acting strangely, it’s probably infected with malware. Use the link below to learn more about "malware".
Then, you need to install: ONE Anti-virus (AVG free), ONE Firewall (Zone Alarm free), and Anti-spyware tools like: Windows Defender, Spybot, Ad-Aware, Spyware Blaster and cCleaner (free, use all 5 regularly).
Google for them, install them and learn how to use them.
TIP: Last resort, back up (copy to CD / DVD / external hard drive) all personal data and do a Windows "Clean Install", more info at (www.theeldergeek.com). The apps above can only clean up so much.
That is just a trojan that ur computer probably has not detected

it is an adware which u should try to remove using ur antispy or antivirus
don’t do this this is a virus or spyware. run a virus scan and see if it picks it up then run a spyware scan. this should get rid of it.
Make notes of EXACT error message, and GOOGLE it, someone else will have had same problem and likely have posted a solution.
Not going to suggest a reg cleaner, might make matters worse, depends on teh ERROR MESSAGE details
Do these popups say "Messenger Service" in the title bar?
You are using an older version of Windows (pre XP SP2). These type of popups often exploit the Messenger Service in your Windows OS, which after XP SP2 is disabled by default.
A popup blocker "thingy" will be of no help in this case.
You have 2 choices to end the problem.
1. You can disable and stop Messenger Service by typing "services msc." (without the(""s) into your Run Box and disabling and stopping Messenger Service.
OR
2. You can use the free utility called Shoot The Messenger to automatically disable this unnecessary service.

Please note that Windows Messenger Service is not the same as any Instant Messenger program that you may have on your computer. Disabling it will not cause you to lose any IM functionality that you may have.
