Ok,I recommend you avast home edition it’s free,easy to use,it has auto-update it scans everything,not slowing down anything,don’t stop you do work on your pc.You make scan in boot time but you can try as well spybot S&D or threatfire.Personal I have avast home edition and spybot.Work fine and don’t track me back.Good luck.
No such thing as good and free Anti Virus.
My ass, Mcafee and other such "ub3r" Anti virus programs you have to pay for, SUCKS.
Avast Anti Virus, Google it. Trust me – It’s free for residential use, and it’s simply amazing.
– there is no such thing as a free and good at the same time for an antivirus
– you can use microsoft onecare, it’s free 90 days
– or subscribe to or use trend micro pc-cillin, which is not freee, but there is a workaround if your subsciption is over – you cant use autoupdate. but you can manually update it and it has realtime scanning which is handy
– i also dont use firewalls, but using trend micro pc-cillin, i think my system is enough. i also use a paid online scanning and cleaning – pandasecurity
– other free that i use, and i think are good: old version of yahoo antispy, spywareblaster, spybot, spywareguard, adaware
– why use many antispywares? bec there’s no 1 free or even paid that does it all.
just use spybot search and destroy.
