Reinstall your windows completely and scan with Kaspersky antivirus and Reginout system cleaner. Your system would be back to normal hopefully.
All I can say at this point is to go into the BIOS (boot set up) and make sure Vista is on top and set to boot first. If that doesn’t work, take the drive out and install it on another machine and transfer the files you need to save. You may need to download a program like Recuva to get those files back, but I doubt it.
Or you can get a kit like this:
http://www.buy.com/prod/usb-2-0-to-sata-ide-2-5-3-5-hard-drive-hdd-converter-cable/q/sellerid/18700237/loc/101/210679778.html
To hook the HD up to most any computer. Works just like an exterior drive. Just open and explore.
After everything else, while you have the drive hooked up to another machine, format it and try another reinstall.
You done screwed it up much more unfortunatly
All you needed to do was probly restore XP’s registry with a simple registry restore. But you over did it with reseting the mbr and boot sector.
Shoulda asked for help long ago before you made a mess out of it
With VISTA CD
Fix the Master Boot Record: (commands)
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /rebuildbcd
bootrec /fixboot
