   You could try to mess with your MSCONFIG.exe and prevent some applications from starting up when you first boot your computer, applications take allot of RAM from the start. Good luck

   Well, I am not surprised your computer is slow with only an OLD Athlon XP 2000+ CPU. What is it running at? 1.5 Ghz? It’s not even a 64 bit CPU. With that kind of CPU, and probably old fashioned DDR RAM running at I bet 133 Mhz + low RAM amount, no wonder you are running slow.

   You got an old Athlon XP 2000? wow no wonder it slow! it run at 1.66 ghz make it slower. it not even 64bit like the 1 in my living room! man with that cpu + maybe ddr ram around 130-136 mhz and low Ram, your slowpokey thingy is jus dumb dude seriously get a 64bit vista dude or at least an acer netbook like this one im on right now!
