Try this:
http://www.fix-error.info
It could scan your entire system, find errors that need to fix, and update your system.
The other thing that might be happening is that there might be a faulty hardware, and there’s no easy way to fix it. Good luck.
everything has been weird since that new Star Trek film started
Raspberry time!
Pppplllllssssttttt!!! 😛
Try going into safemode and leave it for a while and if it stays normal either you might have an issue with a driver (I would reccomend using driver detective if so) or it might be an issue with the OS and there still is the possibility of a virus.
There are several things which could cause a restart:
1. power source: even if the power says 550W, this is -peak- power. It’s not constant. You should take it to an electrician or electronics specialist to measure the average power output. Usually the average power is about 100-150 W lower than what it says on the box. Rarely, this can go down even further, causing restarts in times of computer load.
2. CPU Cooler Malfunction: it happens sometimes that a dirty cooler just stops, temperature spikes for just an instant causing restart without warning (and goes back to normal after restart).
3. RAM malfunction: dirty or improperly inserted RAM modules can (at times of load) act as if they were disconnected resulting in restart (with or without memory dump).
4. Virus: some viruses can cause computer shutdown or restart. Since this is a software issue, you will see the normal Windows shutdown: programs closing, etc (maybe a timer counting down until restart). Some viruses keep your computer in a restart loop, restarting just seconds after login.
I used to have the same problem with my old computer and it was in fact a heat issue. The computer would get too hot, though it showed no signs, randomly restart, then sometimes fail to boot up. But if I left it alone for a bit it would start up. Then upon start up it would give me the message "The system has recovered from a serious error." It was a problem with the people that made it. They screwed it up. Not enough fans and I think one of the things that secured the motherboard down was faulty as well. As much as you think it’s not a heat issue, it still could very well be.
Sounds like a driver issue because it works in safe mode
It’s your PSU, I guess. Might be power shortage. Was the previous PSU more powerful? Then your PC might be underpowered, causing it to restart randomly.
Its restarting by itself you say??
Only one answer to that…
IT’S A GHOST!! LMAO
