   You have do a clean install to get the maximum performance in windows 7. Format your partition & install windows 7 again.
   You can’t roll back to vista . But before you upgrade you should have make a backup of your machine??

   Do a clean install, Windows 7 is plagued with problems so hopefully the first service pack will fix most of these problems.
