are they safe to use?
i use eusing free registry cleaner and so far no problems that i have noticed anyway.
i have also the reg cleaner hat comes with ccleaner and again, so far no problems
but i have heard some say they are not safe while others say they are.

Yes if you don’t go over Bord with them.
They’re perfectly safe for the most part. If they have a registry backup option, use it, because sometimes needed key can be deleted. You can also create manual reg backup using RegEdit if you want. Restoring your registry is a lot simpler than uninstalling/reinstalling software…
It’s a mixed bag. They can be very dangerous if they don’t work properly.
TuneUp Utilities and RegSupremepro have been recommended by experts and don’t have negative reviews and they also back up your registry before you start.
I’ve seen negative reports for many of the popular ones. You need to select carefully.

the thing with registry cleaners is that they are TOO good sometimes. they could end up deleting something you may need without knowing it. that’s why when you use a registry cleaner such as CCleaner, it’s best to look over the list of stuff that it wants to delete to make sure it’s not anything from a program you still use. once you delete a registry key, sometimes it can be a pain to uninstall a program or re-install one.
you just gotta be careful.
