No Video Thumbnail in Windows XP?

I am facing a similar problem on my Windows XP Home Edition SP3.

The thumbails for all types of pictures are generating, but not for any videos including .wmv .avi .mpg. I don’t know since when this is happening, I observed this recently.

I was using Windows Media Player 11, KMPlayer v2.9.4, K-Lite Mega Codec Pack v5, Format Factory v2, Nero Vision (Nero 8). I had uninstalled these softwares and then reinstalled them one by one as I was testing thumbnails between every installation, but even though nothing worked out.

I tried to correct it by going to Windows Explorer’s Folder Options and the restoring the defaults and applying it to all folders. I cleaned my tracks, junk files, registry issues using Ccleaner & Wise Registry Cleaner. But nothing really worked out.

Please Help !!!

Could you please recommend an free registry cleaner software that is very thorough?

I already know about ccleaner. What are some that actually cleans without prompting you to register or pay before actually doing the service. Need advice on this badly. Thankyou in advance! I have an vista operating system.

CPU usage 90-100% Windows vista?

Lately ive been on my laptop and my CPU has gone up to 100%,ive done virus scans,registry clean ups,CCleaner,Spybot and AVG.

And it dosent come up with any virus or anything just cookies,also my laptop is starting to get really hot and overheat and i use a program to moniter how hot it gets and it reaches from 70-95.

Does Registry Cleaners and PC optimizing software actually works?

I recently subscribed to Kris Mainieri and he gave me few tips regarding that Those expensive registry cleaners,all-in-one pc optimizing software and ram boosters does not actually works,He gave me tips that I should just use simple programs such as CCleaner and Defraggler to speed up my PC.Is this true?
