I have had a great response to my question on how to make my computer run faster but, all of these free downloads to clean my registry only give me my "Free Problems" but to clean is not free. Is there one that will clean the problems for free?

You’re going to get two answers here. Many will tell you to get a free cleaner called CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com)
Although this is free, it’s actually very BAD for your computer. It tries to remove the most registry files possible to make itself look good (why else would it be free?) and in doing so, it actually removes many crucial system files which your computer needs to run.
The registry is very delicate and because CCleaner does not have a backup system, you are always playing with fire when using it. I prefer to use a cleaner called "RegAce" which is fast and reliable it costs $20. You can see it at http://www.bestcomputercures.com/regace-review.html
I use CCleaner and it’s very fast and seems to work well. You can also set it to 2 different levels of secure cleaning. For a more complete utility, I use Advanced System Care Free which has a variety of tools to keep your system clean and safe, including a registry cleaner and defragger…
I just did a check with the (ASC) security analyzer and found a hijacked setting…This tool will open a web page with a list of system services and if any have been hijacked, they will be highlighted in red. You also get a list with check boxes to check the "infected area" and deal with it. But Do Not check anything that has not been identified as bad. I like this software, but there are millions out there and you may find something else you want to try.Hope this helps…Edit:–Malwarebytes is good to have also…All these should work without conflict. Just run them separately and not at the same time…
ccleaner will clean your registry and its free…..it does a really good job…just back up your registry before you clean it up…ccleaner will give you a pop up to back it up or not before it cleans it….you can also clean up your hdd with it….very good simple program….

ccleaner can be downloaded at ccleaner.com
On your first question, Auggie gave you ccleaner. it is free and the most widely used cleaner. However, i use advanced systemcare at http://www.iobit.com which is free also.
edit : Now , since you have followed those other peeps advice, you have got a rogue virus. this is free, get it , update it, and run full scan. http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
edit : If you ignore this advice, i have nothing else to say. For your computers sake, do it.
