After a recent registry cleaning, occasionally Windows gives me a Windows File Protection message?

Why do people insist on messing with the registry. There is no proven benefit to "cleaning out" the registry. If you don’t have the CD, too bad you are screwed. It is important and Windows probably won’t operate correctly because the registry is fuc*ed up.
This is one thing you may get many different answers for. I believe Registry files should not be deleted all, because some of them are Shared. I use cCleaner myself, but I do not use the Registry Cleaner part anymore. After reading many many conflicting stories and horrors of deleting registry files. I tend to leave them alone now.
You can only restore your Unrecognized Versions with the original windows disc. I do not believe there are any other means, unless you save the copies of the windows registry files cCleaner deletes, that is probably your best option, if these events keep happening. When I use to do a clean registry, I would always let cCleaner keep the backup just in case I needed, but also, I do have the original windows disc handy at all times.
So in parting, you can not fix them unless you have a stored back up, or you can find your original windows xp disc.
In my own opinion, I would suggest not using the registry cleaner more then 2 a year. Or never. You will get many different opinions on this.
