Hi.
I recommend AVG for antivirus and antispyware cleaning (no need to download Adaware since AVG includes the antispyware now)
check out this tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUXaxPYRGFI&feature=channel_page
I also recommend CCleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com/ for keeping your computer cleaned up.
Hope this helps!
As you did ask for ‘FREE’ stuff go here – http://majorgeeks.com/page.php?id=20 – everything your heart desires can be found.
Personally I use ‘Spybot Search & Destroy’ to combat Spyware, and ‘ATF Cleaner’ to keep things running smooth (Taking the trash out etc).
P.S. Take a good look at this program also – ‘Advanced SystemCare 3’ – I just downloaded it off that site.
no cd or dvd for free yes free Linux Ubuntu OS
I would suggest getting Diskeeper 2009, which is a hard drive degragmenter.
And for uninstalling programs, use Revo Uninstaller. It uninstalls your program and searches for leftover files in your computer. Much better than windows uninstaller.
You can find the website below.

AVG Free is a great Virus Protection and Ad-Aware free will deal with Spyware.
These two programs with Kaspersky are the best free commercial products to date.
Utilities to Clean your computer are costly, and you can do most of the stuff all manually. However if you are FORMATTING your computer, all that stuff is wiped anyways, so don’t bother. Your best bet is to consistency defrag your computer every two months and do a registry clean every month. You can do both of these in the system tools section on windows and in your browsers security section.
