bummer! you have to watch out. watch what you download and scan all files that you download BEFORE you click on them. ALL! you have to update your virus definitions EVERYDAY! set your anti-virus program to update/scan automagically everyday at 4 am, if you leave your computer running, and do not use internet explorer. use a different browser.
You might have the system restore on your computer. This will clean up your computers files and also run a diagnosis on your computer. Press start and then I think its accessories and then PC tools then look for System restore. Well you got infected with a bad virus but i hope this helps. Try some anti virus programs.
McAfee wont clean up vundo(happened to me already)
Download SDFix- http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=869653
SuperAntiSpyware- http://www.superantispyware.com/ (update and Scan)
MalwareBytes AntiMalware- http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php (update and do a scan)
VundoFix- http://vundofix.atribune.org/
Your Computer Should be Fine Now
Turn off System Restore before doing these steps
if you have an anti virus program go back to the last best known date and that should help your computer… also you might be able to get some type of spy ware ad ware clean up.
u can use another firewall(comodo) instead of windows.ccleaner might help u…..
Try using Avast antivirus, it free.
Next install spybot and do a scan to check whether there are any spy ware activities.(where if avast couldnt detect)
If you do not have an updated anti-virus program always running, you need to get one. Install only one, but you can get AVG, Avast! or AntiVir for free.
You will also need anti-spyware and no single anti-spyware application is perfect so I recommend using at least 2 different programs. Spybot Search & Destroy is one of the best. I also recommend SUPERAntiSpyware. Other free anti-spyware programs would be Adaware, AVG Anti-spyware (formally Ewido), A-squared, Spyware Terminator and SpywareBlaster.
Running these programs in Safe Mode (tap F8 as the computer boots up and choose to boot to safe mode) can be more effective.
I strongly recommend using FireFox, it’s a far better and safer alternative to Internet Explorer. If you add-on McAfee SiteAdvisor, it will warn you of potentially harmful sites. I also recommend CCleaner which is a free system optimization and privacy tool.
First of all do an online scan at http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/ and http://www.ewido.net/en/onlinescan/ . If after that you still have questions about your processes use http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx .All are free.
Next uninstall your present insecurity software and use the following:
browser – http://www.opera.com/ – replace that IE junk
antivirus – http://www.avast.com/
antispyware – http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=435BFCE7-DA2B-4A6A-AFA4-F7F14E605A0D&displaylang=en
…………….. – http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html
firewall – http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/
They are all the best in their category and FREE.
Finally you need to clean your pc: install and use as recommended http://www.iobit.com/iobitsmartdefrag.html , http://www.iobit.com/advancedwindowscareper.html – daily (also for choosing the boot start processes), http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/CCleaner-Download-8851.html – weekly .
