Unlike some other registry cleaners, Auslogics Registry Cleaner doesn’t try to find as many problems as possible. It only scans safe registry categories by default. Novice users should use default settings. However, advanced users can select additional categories to scan for problems with higher risk level.
Note. If you are not sure which categories to scan, simply right-click on the registry categories list (left column of the program’s starting page) and select "Check Safe Only" from the drop-down menu.
And yes, it’s really free, there are no hidden costs, no viruses, no spyware.

That’s what registry cleaners are, most anyway with very few exceptions

NOTE:ANY TIME you are going to mess with the regsitry please do a back-up and not from using regedit(Not worth a flip)
Use ERUNT to back-up the registry and use NTREGOPT to Optomise the registry which only needs that done once or twice a year

As The Beaver told Lucy about Aslan the Lion, He is not safe, but he is good.
Registry Cleaners should not be used unless you know what you’re doing with them. No, they are not SAFE, but they are extremely useful to clean up errors and performance degradation. Sometimes they are the only way you can do this.
There are programs to make this less painful for you, but even they you have to know you can completely change some setting in your computer that will make life unpleasant for your computer life. The reliable of these user-friendly programs are almost always NOT free. There are free ones that can be very good, but again, they are for people who know exactly what they are doing.
If you want the benefits of a cleaned registry, but don’t want to mess up your computer, go to a professional. Call a computer shop (use phone book for local folks) or go to a place like Best Buy or Staples that have folks on staff that can help you with this.
registry cleaners can mess with files store on the pc.but can increase pc speed.use ccleaner.
I use Glarys Utilities to clean and fix my registry. It’s free and works great.

Mostly safe. It’s rare they cause any problems, but when they do it’s a real pain to fix.
Ccleaner is the only 1 that I use.
Registry cleaners are safe if you know how to use them.
An average user probably shouldn’t as they may or may not delete important registry files.
Registry cleaners are a gimmick. The registry does not need "cleaning", "boosting", whatever. These programs do nothing but delete entries from the registry that they think are obsolete. They use the term "error" to make you think they actually do something beneficial. They cannot fix, edit, correct anything. Registry cleaners do not improve performance. You don’t need to defrag the registry either. Life’s too short to waste time running gimmicky, do-nothing programs on your computer.
