I’ve asked this before, some say ” NO! ” others say otherwise.
the only ones i use are ” Comodo registry cleaner” and the one with ccleaner.
have they been proven safe?
so far i haven’t had any issues ( knock on wood, lol )

They are pretty safe, but it helps a lot if you can use a cleaner which has a backup facility. This will make sure that it will protect your PC from any problems.
I paid for one and downloaded it, was the worst mistake ever. Still have problems occasionally and I blame them.
A safe registry cleaner is the one that finds the fewest so-called "errors". Registry cleaners don’t fix anything, it’s a fact, all they do is remove obsolete and unused entries from the registry. Does this improve performance?…NO, unless you had thousands of obsolete entries. By the way, I use Comodo and TuneUp Utilities registry cleaner. WHY? because I’m anal, and being anal is the only reason to use a registry cleaner, and all you Ccleaner fanatics….just admit it, you’re anal.

Most of the ones out there are bogus (either don’t work or contain spyware/malicious code), except for the ones you mentioned. I have tried Comodo once and it is OK. I have since installed ccleaner on all my PCs and it is good.
If used correctly, they are fine.
Not for me. I downloaded one once and had to restore my computer to an earlier date because it messed up a bunch of things.
Not all the registry cleaners are safe.
