Take the hard drive, run, and don’t look back.
You see, Microsoft is discontinuing Windows Live OneCare in a couple of months and replacing it with a new anti-virus that will be availible FREE to anyone with a legal Windows install.
So cut your losses and get something of value for that OneCare while you can!
If you give your activation code to anyone they will be able to access
your account. The mainframe computer has no idea its not you online,
unless you have set up a password. Hold on to it.
Of course he can’t. But I suggest just hanging onto it.
Windows Live OneCare or other type of Anti-Virus program is good for up to three computers per household. If you use your third one up and wind up getting a fourth, you will have to re-purchase your license or contact customer care and see if they can swing a deal with you.
The license is good up to one year and afterwards, you will have to fork over another $40.
