Registry cleaners can clean out leftover unused values in your registry. That is about all they can do.
Computer maintenance for preventing blue screen failures is about keeping software and hardware functioning right.
Viruses can cause the failure if system files are changed or deleted.
Hardware drivers can malfunction and cause them
Software conflicts can cause them
Look at the Stop Code from the blue screen and search microsoft.com and the net for it.
It is there to tell you where the fault is.
To keep the Blue Screen on the monitor long enough to read it do this:
Windows key+Pause break key
Advanced
Startup and Recovery
Settings
Uncheck the box that says "Automatically Restart"
Then the blue screen will stay so you can read it
There are many reasons why you get the blue screen of death. Is it reporting any form of error? You didnt say. If it happens again you should try to just reformat your computer if you know how. After you do that make sure that you install the drivers in a proper order. With the chipset first other drivers and update your computer, download your antivirus and another firewall. I would get sygate free firewall. I dont think you should use comodo it has bad reviews unless you get pro. AVG is great, CCleaner is great, you dont really need Comodo or windows defender get rid of those. If you have comodo firewall with antivirus, than avg and comodo may be conflicting. It also has to do with the order of drivers downloaded or too many drivers downloaded while searching for the right driver. My laptop was doing the same thing a couple of days ago and I thought my harddrive was going bad but I reformated and installed all drivers in order updated the computer downloaded antivirus, firewall, ran cleanup and cc. Now everything is fine.
i recommend you to reformat your PC and install a fresh copy of Operating System. I think a virus have damaged some system files on your computer.
What kind of processor are you running? The last computer I had which had a blue screen of death problem – twice – had an AMD processor. The solution was that the processor was overheating. Remove the processor and reapply thermal paste and then reinstall. Also, make sure all your fans are working including the power supply fan.
CCleaner by piriform is what you have. That works great for cleaning the registry, just make sure it takes a backup of your reg before you "fix all issues".
