   your computer is infected. Simply going back to a previous "restore" point is NOT a good answer; there is more to it than that, and most likely you’ll have to re-install your OS. As a puter repair pro, I have seen identical situations like yours often.

   Agree’ing with the first one who suggested HijackThis. It’s probably the best program i’ve downloaded to help with things such as spyware and other applications running on my machine. Hijackthis when ran will show you everything that is running on your machine when your machine starts up, as most spyware does. It also shows all the programs running that you need to have running, with the option of disabling any program from running at startup.

   Be careful with it as you also have the ability to remove programs from starting that you really do need. If you’re not that familiar with what programs should and shouldn’t be running on your machine, find someone that can help you and teach you.

   Some of the entries will point you directly to the file that’s running and you can then go there in your windows explorer to delete them. Good luck.

   WinFixer is a Security Risk that may give exaggerated reports of threats on the computer. The program then prompts the user to purchase a registered version of the software in order to remove the reported threats.
   1. Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP).
   2. Update the virus definitions.
   3. Run a full system scan.
   4. Delete any values added to the registry.
   To delete the value from the registry
   # Click Start > Run.

   i got a anti virus off this site called Superantivirus.com it came free to download and it scanned and cleared all sorts of things out of my comp give it a try you`ll be amazed what it picks up

   you need an application called Hijack This, it’s free just google it.

   You can also try going to a restore point on your PC BEFORE this problem occured.

   You may also want to try a super-in-depth registry cleaning application.

   And as the poster above mentioned, go the forum he posted and give detailed info on the malware name and the problems it is creating and I too recommend Hijack This.

   EDIT: Funny that I get a thumbs down when I have had the EXACT same issue with my PC and the solutions I mentioned fixed it and the problem has not happened again. Notice I didn’t say the restore point was THE ONLY solution as the poster below seems to think.
