its not safe to disassemble
depending on what it sounds like (metallic ding scratching grinding) that means your HD is going out. put it back together back up your stuff buy a new HD
at this point NO alcohol isn’t going to make things any worse
This is a very bad idea. Hard disks are assembled in a clean room environment. If you disassemble a hard disk, you risk ruining the disks just by exposing them to the air.
You need to back up the data from the drive right away.
Disassembling your hard drive is game over. Theoretically you can use alcohol to clean the disks and the head, but when the disks are exposed to dust particles you are pretty hosed. Good luck.
No, you cannot clean the heads or even use the hard drive after taking it apart. I assume you do not have availability of a clean room.
No. But you can use toothpaste. alcohol will burn a hole through the protective screening. To use toothpaste: Only use the kind with no crystals in them! For example "crest regular" is a great cleaner! I use it on all of my disks. Hope that was some help to ya’.
For your actual p.c. parts, you can use toothpaste mixed with water. If you use it without the water than you will damage your computer.
