I don’t think windows can do it without having another program. There are programs that you can setup to clean temp. files at a certain time of day or several times a day. I use CCLEANER (FREE) and do a scan as I’m getting off the computer. I also have Tuneup Utilities 2008 (NOT FREE) that has a 1 click maintance that cleans all junk. You can get the CCLEANER from http://filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
in Windows, no.
but, there are some programs that you can download (i do not know if they are free) to make it clean all the temp files.
or, go to
Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup.
when you move your mouse over the Disk Cleanup start menu icon, right click it, and select Proporties.
in the Proporties window, under the line, Shortcut Key, select a key on the keyboard, (i use the F11 key) and after you select a key, click OK.
now, press the key or key combo (a key combo is somthing like this: Ctrl+Alt+O or D or whatever you choose or you can do a simple F11, F12 type thing) and Disk Cleanup will startup.
you can just press that key or key combo every time before you turn off your pc, that way Disk Cleanup can remove the temp files.
hope this helps
tools…internet options……advanced tab…..scroll to bottom….check box that says empty temp internet files when explorer closes….apply…..ok
