   well, you can also use a registry cleaner to clean those registry thrash.
   after which, run a computer check up to see if your computer is free from all error. free computer check ups are free online.

   i usually use the one at http://www.pcaholic.com .

   it’s a pretty neat tool.

   FOR STARTERS,YOUR DLL FILES(DIRECT LINK LIBRARY) FILES ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO YOUR APPLICATIONS AND OPERATING SYSTEM.IF YOU ARE MISSING SOME DLL FILES THAT IS PROBABLY THE REASON WHY YOURE MISSING THINGS(APPS,ICONS,ETC.ALL OF THESE PROBLEMS THAT YOU ARE HAVING ARE MOST LIKELY RELATED TO THIER MISSING DLL FILES TO COMPLETE THE REGISTRY LOOP FOR EACH APPLICATION TO WORK RIGHT.SINCE YOU HAVE VISTA,YOU CAN DO A RESTORE.I DONT RECOMMEND C-CLEANER.IT LIST’S EVERYTHING IT HAS FOUND BUT,DOESN’T TELL YOU IF THEY ARE SAFE TO REMOVE OR NOT.IT REMOVED SOME IMPORTANT MICROSOFT UPDATES ON MY PC AND I DIDNT EVEN KNOW IT.IT SCREWED UP MY INTERNET EXPLORER BROWSER.I FINALLY WENT BACK TO WINDOWS UPDATE AND RE-INSTALLED ALL THE INTERNET EXPLORER UPDATES IT REMOVED.ALSO IT MESSED WITH SOME OUTLOOK EXPRESS PATCHES THAT I HAD TO RE-INSTALL.I TRIED C CLEANER ONCE AND GAVE IT THE BOOT.TRY"EVONSOFT COMPUTER REPAIR".THAT TOOL IS SAFE AND WILL ONLY REMOVE AND CLEAN OR REPAIR THE FILES THAT ARE LISTED.IT IS A GOOD PROGRAM.ITS UP TO YOU MY FRIEND.IF YOU CANT RECOVER YOUR APPS AND SOME KEY DLL’S,YOU MAY HAVE TO DO A RESTORE OR A CLEAN-INSTALL.GOOD LUCK

   When u click Registry Clean-up or whatever it says just delete all the registry entries. If u see something on Registry Clean-up that u dont want it deleted or messing up your registry then just back up your registry. Then delete so if something happens to your computer u can get your backed up registry.

   Try renaming them .old instead of their original extension then reboot your computer. If you get any kind of errors then rename from the .old extension to the previous extension; if you don’t get any errors then you can delete them.

   It is safe to remove all of those. Before you do, it asks if you want to back it up. Do it. If something doesn’t work, you just double click the backup file and your registry is back to the way it was before.
