   To be honest, and I hate to say it, but unfortunately your computer is pretty much fried. The Vista OS is glitchy to begin with. I would recommend that you buy a new computer (if finances permit) and get windows 7 this time. The clean install should be the last thing you do before you give up. Im sorry.

   i’m sorry to say this, well actually, i’m not, but windows vista is the biggest failure microsoft has ever made. try windows 7, or if you cant find a "free" copy of that, use xp, my computer has had xp on it for almost 10 years now, and i haven’t had a single issue like this one, nor have i seen it in anything but vista.
