if i put all my files on my documents , n then install windows xp againwith xp cd to clean would the files be save on documents and settings on the user folder after i install it ?? or would they be deleted to ????

If you’re doing a clean install, all files will be deltyed. If you’re just doing an upgrade like from XP to vista, then it shouldn’t be replaced. I say you should be backing up from a backup program or burning it to a cd or dvd if you have a lot of files.
