You may want to start in Safemode and run MBAM in there, though it is not really designed to run in Safemode. Restart your system in regular mode and run another scan using MBAM, ignoring Security Essentials request to clean your system. Certain malware resides in system memory and upon rebooting the system it rewrites itself. Tough, sometimes to get rid of.
Please, make sure to have checked in Firefox "Options" in the Security section the ‘Warn me when other sites try to install add-ons’.
Another option in troubleshooting your issue is to use and have Internet Explorer as your default program to use, though this is just a thought and you can always return Firefox as the default program to use.
Also, check in your firewall settings to block this process and to use Task Manager to stop the process all together so that you can freely troubleshoot your issue.

Yes Charon is correct….it sounds like there is something else on there. Depending on how much time you have try bleepingcomputer for some free help or try boxaid.com if you want live technical support.
I don’t think that FLV Player is the culprit. It sounds like something else is doing it and just executing the download and install, though I can’t be sure. Try a thorough online scan at Kaspersky (it can take several hours, depending). It also might not be a bad idea to have a trained analyst check out your machine. techsupportforums.com, bleepingcomputer.com, and geeks2go.com are a few free ones, but there are others out there.
My computer is running Windows XP SP3, fully updated – is it ? run:
Secunia Personal Software Inspector
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial174.html
then turn off system restore & do a free online scan:

then run free Ccleaner:

then turn on system restore.
Tip:
I would also run free malwarebytes.
Get the following software, all free, from the links below. Get them from a clean computer onto a flash drive. Now boot your computer into safe mode (hold f8 key while booting up). Run each from safe mode. This works in most cases.
