   You should need to use recover software or backup data software. you can find it on http://www.softpedia.com

   You do have a mess. Not sure how much help but here are a few things:

   1. You delete WMP11 by START\CONTROL PANEL
   Click "Add or remove programs" and select WMP11 at the bottom of the list/. Click REMOVE.
   (Don’t delete anything in the Registry unless you absolutely know what you’re doing.}

   2. To turn on System Restore
   START\CONTROL PANEL\SYSTEM\
   Click the “System Restore” tab.
   Clear the check box for “Turn off system restore”

   3. You can’t delete the My Documents folder. It is a system protected folder that will reconstruct each time you boot. It is very difficult to even move the folder. The contents can be deleted but that takes some effort. My Pictures is not protected but the contents are difficult to accidentally delete.

   If I understand, when you right click START and choose "Explore" the My Documents folder is gone? Is it possible that you mean that the icons are gone from the desktop? If so, that is an easy one. If your files are really deleted, download a free file restore program and recover them.

   go to control panel, performance and maintenance. on the right side their should be a system restore. dialog box will show up choose restore my computer to an earlier time click next. choose a date then click next. it should work. good luck

   Search for the lost folder names using the search function in XP (they could have just been moved smoewhere else)…if no provail, try downloading a program called Recuva which can recover deleted documents for free.
