I just bought a ew Dell Computer (Windows Vista) and I had a "Registry Cleaner" that I had bought from me old computer (Windows ME version) and I had installed it on my new Dell computer. Well I scanned my computer and there were like 21000 problems that the Registry Cleaner detected on my new Dell computer. My question is was I wrong for installing this Registry Cleaner on my new Dell computer and the problems that were detected may not really be a problem. I do not want to destroy any important updates on my computer. Please help!!!

It is of vital importance to choose an excellent registry cleaner. I think this blog can help you a lot.

uninstall that one and try this one, I have included the link below its called registry easy its the best but it isn’t free.
Be careful with old registry cleaners.
In a nutshell – they were designed to deal with the old problems that would affect Windows ME. This means that when you put them on Vista, they will automatically flag up any "rogue files" that don’t match their idea of good files… and because Vista has added so many features and files to the registry, it menas that your cleaner wants to remove many of the good files in your PC.
This is a big problem and is how people ruin their computers with registry cleaners. I’d strongly recommend you either use a free cleaner such as CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com ) or a paid cleaner with a backup facility such as RegAce (http://www.regace.com )
WHAT WERE YOU THINKING ???
Uninstall that sucker now and get a free registry cleaner as already suggested. Unless that registry cleaner has been updated, there’s no way it can accurately evaluate the operating system 3 generations removed.
That’s fake there is no 21000 error in computer. RegisCleaner probably a vague software.
21,000 does seem quite high, The free ones work well, ccleaner for one, I also use advanced system care at iobit.com which has a cleaner plus more for free.
I would be leery of deleting 21.000 items on a new computer.
