Safest way: remove the drive and install it on another PC as a slave, you can then extract all your needed files.
start your computer in safe mode and try uninstalling the software through there
To get into safe mode, turn off your computer and turn it on again. When it is restarting continue pressing the f8 key up and down until you get a series of options one of which will be safe mode. Move the arrow to safe mode and select it.
Once there remove the incorrect driver and replace it with the correct one.
You can get access to your files using UBCDWIN which you can get at http://www.ubcdwin.com. It also has wipe utilities.
