The hardware in your computer could be a slight modification of the ware sold by the hardware manufacturer as a retail item, so the driver for it would need modification. That’s why you should always download drivers from the computer manufacturer’s site (unless you bought the card separately, of course).
The advice to not upgrade the driver unless you have a problem is good advice. Not all upgrades do good things in all situations. Your graphics card may have a problem if you have a certain sound card. If you don’t, why upgrade to a driver that you don’t need, but that has a problem with the wireless adapter you have? (They’ll come out with a newer driver – that doesn’t have a problem with either card. But you’ll have a problem until they do.)
Look if your having a problem update it. If you update it anyway that’s good which means something came new to improve your PC or something like that. I always update my drivers, because i want to see what’s going on with Intel and NVIDIA 🙂
thats true..but it you want and decide to update you can get the update from the website of the company not that hard to find
There is NO need to update a driver unless you are having problems with it period.
EDIT: Driver updates are created because some people have problems with their hardware. If for instance, you install a game that requires it, then update. I have seen MANY instances of people updating drivers when they didnt need to and created chaos on their systems too.
