   I don’t see any real disadvantage to using a registry cleaner – if it’s going to help speed up/ normalize PC performance.

   There’s a lot out there you can try. I’ve used Registry Mechanic and Registry Clean Expert. Both are good and solid with Windows OS. Get one that cleans and fixes the registry and gives value-add like fixing Start up process. Both those two does the trick. Happy fixing!
