I am using Registry Mechanic 6.0.Lately, it has not repaired all the errors. For example, I will scan. It finds 3 errors. I delete them and then run the scan again. It finds the exact 3 errors again. After running this 3 times, I am wondering if I need to change registry cleaners or just go without. Is it absolutely necessary to have a registry cleaner if I’m using Windows XP sp2 and do the maintenance on a routine basis?

YES I FEEL YOU NEED A REGISTRY CLEANER. I DO NOT KNOW WHY YOUR CLEANER IS NOT TAKING CARE OF THE PROBLEMS THOUGH. I USE THE ONE FROM SOFTWAREONLINE.COM AND HAVE NOT PROBLEMS WITH IT. IT ALWAYS CLEANS UP MY COMPUTER. MAYBE IT IS NOT A REGISTERED VERSION. ONE YOU BOUGHT AND PAID FOR. LIKE I DID.
It is not free but I feel it is the best out there.

Why pay a computer technician hundreds of dollars when you can do it yourself?
Those files you are trying to delete may be repeaters that set up and keep your present actions available while you have the computer running. Look at the info and see if they a fdata or something like that.
If they are for other software on your machine to maintain them they will be reinstalled each time you close Registry Mechanic. If they aren’t, try going to the regedit and deleting them yourself. Then reboot your computer.
Be carefull, make sure you have a previous Restore or a copy of your registry before you delete them so you Restore your machine to a time it work or so you can put the registry back the way it was by copying the saved file back into the registry.
