   No, you can’t put virus protection on the PS3, and you don’t need to, but just the same, I’d use it to go to well maintained sites that you are familiar with:)

   You dont need protection…..unless you go to porn sights, then its a possibility of getting a virus.
   But if your just surfing web, then no, you dont need it…

   Well you just got to be a bit protective i use the internet on it sometimes but i don’t really recommend being on many fishy websites cause i don’t know if Sony has built in a protector

   Trend Micro offers a free antivirus program for use with the PS3’s web browser (it was included in a past firmware update). There are instructions here on how to activate it: http://ps3ontheweb.blogspot.com/2009/04/protect-your-ps3-web-browser.html .

   Connecting to servers when gaming online with the PS3 is secure, so no anti-virus is needed for that.
